• Origin of SOUL

  Since October 17, 2019, the Lebanese masses started protesting Lebanon’s political government. Since then, the currency has lost approximately 90 percent of its value, and inflation sky rocketed driving 60 percent of the population below poverty line. In addition, it’s been over a year since the explosion of Beirut has devastated the city and its people, and we are yet to learn the truth about the perpetrators.
  
  Therefore, a group of American – Lebanese citizens are working diligently on creating a permanent change in their mother land. They have established a non-profit organization called “Shields of United Lebanon, INC (SOUL,)” and have organized many events, including a conference in Washington D.C., and in Lebanon simultaneously back in June 23-26, 2021. The main aims of SOUL For Lebanon conference were, a) to bring resolutions and a change to the current problems in Lebanon, b) to honor the voice of the protestors, and those who are suffering in silence but feeling helpless, and c) to unite the Lebanese at home and in diaspora and to organize them to fight for Free, Independent, and Sovereign Lebanon.
  
  The SOUL speakers and members are always those who speak the truth about Lebanon’s dilemma, and those who planned, sacrificed, and marched down the streets of Lebanon. Some of them were beaten, kicked, and jailed to save Lebanon. The work of SOUL always echoes the voices of these heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom and for the sovereignty of Lebanon.

• Agenda of SOUL

  The following matters are, and will always be, addressed at SOUL conferences and activities.
      1- Regional conflicts and the Abraham Accord’s effects on Lebanon.
      2- UNSC resolutions and the Neutrality of Lebanon.
      3- The Lebanese Constitution & REFORM.
      4- Government Corruption.
      5- Election Laws & the right of expats to vote for the 128 MPs.
      6- Stolen funds and the blocking of depositors’ money.
      7- Peace and Security.
      8- Economic and Financial Crisis.
      9- Human Rights and civil liberties.
      10- Women economic and political empowerment.
      11- International investigation for the Port of Beirut Explosion-A crime against humanity!
      12- Syrian & Palestinian Refugees Crisis, and Lebanese prisoners of war in Syria.
